Rugby is a really demanding physical sport, especially rugby sevens. In a weekend seven-a-side tournament, you play several games a day, and recovery between the games is crucial. Rugby sevens became an Olympic sport for the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro. Finland is doing really well at European level, and Finland’s long-term goal is to eventually make it into the Olympics. At the moment Finland is playing in the Rugby European Trophy. See below for the Finnish women’s national rugby team’s experiences of Cloudboots.
“The national side started using Cloudboots on a training tournament in Spain. They were easy to fit into the suitcase and quick to start using.
The competitive season is in the middle of the summer, with games in Central Europe in some 30 degrees Celsius. Rugby sevens is a fast-paced contact sport, requiring you to regularly perform at your extreme level. You have to be in explosive form in every game, and the further you go in the tournament, the more serious it gets. This is why it is important for us players to recover quickly between matches and in preparation for the next day. Our squad’s favourite programme is the lymphatic massage, with the pressure moving from one chamber to the next.
Thanks to the battery, Cloudboots can be used anywhere and in between games without having to worry about finding an electrical socket. Our tournaments are mainly abroad, so we love to treat our swollen legs with Cloudboots also after arrival at the destination.”
