In racewalking, being an extreme endurance sport, the body is under extreme stress. The musculature is put to the test due to the sport’s long duration, but at the same time, the nervous system is also under extreme pressure due to the very high step frequency. A 20-kilometer race takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, during which the walker takes over 200 steps per minute. This is, on average, the same step frequency as a 400-meter runner during their own race performance, but in racewalking, this step frequency is maintained for almost one and a half hours. I have noticed that Cloudboots have been a great help in the recovery of the nervous system. After long and intense walking workouts and competitions, Cloudboots have promoted nervous system recovery. The next morning, the musculature feels fresher, and the nervous system doesn’t feel as tired as before. Cloudboots have, in their own way, greatly accelerated recovery, and performing the next intense walking workout has been possible slightly earlier than before. I have found it interesting to note that the benefits of using Cloudboots in my case have not been limited to just the musculature; the nervous system has also benefited from them.

Throughout the year, there are many days spent traveling. On travel days, the extended periods of sitting can cause stiffness and numbness in both the musculature and the nervous system. Post-travel use of Cloudboots has proven to be an effective way to expedite the body’s recovery from traveling.
Another interesting observation has been that Cloudboots have helped me prepare my nervous system slightly better for the upcoming workout. Choosing a shorter and lighter program before the performance has been a functional solution for me. The importance of the nervous system often takes a back seat, and we tend to focus solely on how our musculature feels. It has been fantastic to notice that Cloudboots have also had an impact on the nervous system.
