Pasi Kärkkäinen, TJJK/FEKM Krav Maga

Pasi Kärkkäinen is a versatile athlete for whom hard training has long been a daily routine. Kärkkäinen, who played competitive hockey when at upper secondary school, has since then focused fully on martial arts. He has achieved the rank of 2nd Dan black belt in Krav Maga, and has been the head instructor at the FEKM Krav Maga club in Tampere for many years. Nowadays he practises submission wrestling at the TJJK Ju-Jutsu club in Tampere with competitive-class wrestlers. He has also already achieved medals at Finnish championship level in submission wrestling.

Unfortunately, the 36-year-old athlete has not escaped injury, having had to undergo surgery on both knees, one of them twice. The Cloudboots compression boots have been a big help in recovery from injury, and they also provide relief in everyday use after a tough workout.

Pasi’s inside leg length size falls between the L and M Cloudboots boot sizes, so the length was adjusted on the spot. As is often the case, the L size turned out to be best when the M size seemed to short. Pasi chose shorts to go with the compression boots.
