Minna Pajulahti, fitness

Minna Pajulahti is a Finnish fitness athlete, as well as a coach. Pajulahti competes in the Women’s Physique category in the professional bodybuilding association IFBB Pro. She has also competed in the fitness category and powerlifting. Minna Pajulahti won gold at the Masters Olympia fitness competition in 2023. Minna has been using Cloudboots for about a year and is extremely satisfied with the results:

Joni Hava, racewalking

Joni Hava is an international-level track and field athlete and a member of the Finnish track and field national team. Joni competes in racewalking, with his main event being the 20-kilometer walk. Check out Joni’s experiences using Cloudboots for training and recovery support!

In racewalking, being an extreme endurance sport, the body is under extreme stress. The musculature is put to the test due to the sport’s long duration, but at the same time, the nervous system is also under extreme pressure due to the very high step frequency. A 20-kilometer race takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, during which the walker takes over 200 steps per minute. This is, on average, the same step frequency as a 400-meter runner during their own race performance, but in racewalking, this step frequency is maintained for almost one and a half hours. I have noticed that Cloudboots have been a great help in the recovery of the nervous system. After long and intense walking workouts and competitions, Cloudboots have promoted nervous system recovery. The next morning, the musculature feels fresher, and the nervous system doesn’t feel as tired as before. Cloudboots have, in their own way, greatly accelerated recovery, and performing the next intense walking workout has been possible slightly earlier than before. I have found it interesting to note that the benefits of using Cloudboots in my case have not been limited to just the musculature; the nervous system has also benefited from them.

Throughout the year, there are many days spent traveling. On travel days, the extended periods of sitting can cause stiffness and numbness in both the musculature and the nervous system. Post-travel use of Cloudboots has proven to be an effective way to expedite the body’s recovery from traveling.

Another interesting observation has been that Cloudboots have helped me prepare my nervous system slightly better for the upcoming workout. Choosing a shorter and lighter program before the performance has been a functional solution for me. The importance of the nervous system often takes a back seat, and we tend to focus solely on how our musculature feels. It has been fantastic to notice that Cloudboots have also had an impact on the nervous system.

Oulu Northern Lights, Women’s American football team

Oulu Northern Lights is one of the oldest active American football clubs in Finland. American football, also known as jenkkifutis or jefu, has been played in Oulu with a strong attitude since 1982!

In the 2023 season, the club has a team in the Women’s Vaahteraliiga and the men’s I-Divisioona. The women’s team’s major achievements include a Finnish championship in 2012 and three bronze medals in 2011, 2014, and 2015. Additionally, both the men’s and women’s national teams of Finland are the most successful in Europe! The women’s team made a comeback to the Vaahteraliiga level in the 2023 season after two successful years in the lower division and continues to pursue success at the national level.

American football, or jenkkifutis/jefu, is an extremely physical and tactical sport often referred to as the chess of sports. To a new viewer, the game may seem like chaotic collisions, but every running line, step, hit, and throw is carefully planned to advance the team on the field.

Training in the sport focuses on diverse strength training, speed training, and, of course, extensive sport-specific training like in other ball sports. The physicality and contact of the sport set it apart from other ball sports. The intense contact requires meticulous supplementary training to ensure that the body is prepared for the demanding pace of the game season.

We had the opportunity to test Cloudboots throughout the season and noticed that they expedited recovery from both training sessions and game events. As we travel long bus journeys across Finland, the time spent on the road is a great opportunity to enhance recovery. Cloudboots provide an easy way to recover on the bus and in hotels!

Giesen Grizzlys – Bundesliga

Helios GRIZZLYS Giesen is a fully professional volleyball team playing in 1^st Bundesliga in Germany. The club has been playing in this highest level already several years fighting for the position on the lower middle of the table, but this season the team has taken a step closer to the top. They reached the semi-finals in the German cup and now after the regular season start the fight in the playoffs. For the upcoming years the goal is clear: keep improving inside and outside of the court and try to reach the top of the league.

Giesen Grizzlys has strong Finnish connections since they have two Finnish National Team players in the roster, Fedor Ivanov and Voitto Köykkä. Both players are an important part of the team and an absolute elite of the league. The team has also a Finnish assistant coach, Antti Poikela, who recently retired from his own playing career and turned into coaching.

Giesen Grizzlys and Cloudboots started the co-operation last year and the team received their own pair of Rogue Cloud8 recover boots in the beginning of the season. For them important is to be able to use the boots easily on the way. It has been a very welcome addition to their recovery tools:

“ We are using the recovery boots regularly after harder trainings during the week and especially around the games and longer game trips. Jaakko Sillankorva, X-Speed United

International-level road cyclist, Jaakko Sillankorva, is one of the toughest Finnish names in the future of road cycling. For the coming season, Jaakko will aim for the next level in international competitions and to take significant steps forward. In 2023, Jaakko will continue in the same team (X-Speed United), and the competition programme is of higher quality and the performance should also improve. In cycling, making steady progress plays a very big role and year after year bar is set for a higher level. Jaakko seemed like such a determined guy that we wanted to support him.

“As an endurance athlete, my training is often very demanding in terms of quantity and intensity due to a hard training and competition routine. In addition to doing elite sports, I also study at Tampere University, so Cloudboots have played a significant role in taking care of recovery and relaxation in the evenings, especially when as a cyclist the load is mainly on the legs. Rhythmic Gymnastics – Emmi Piiroinen

Rhythmic gymnastics has been a big part of Emmi Piiroinen’s life since she was three years old. She represents the Espoo-based OVO Gymnastics club. Emmi was the rhythmic gymnastics junior Finnish champion in 2020 and 2021. She had great successes last year also, including at the 2022 Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships in Tel Aviv, in the youth championships in Finland and in the Nordic championships. Rhythmic gymnasts generally take up the sport early, and reach their peak young. Training is intense, making heavy physical and psychological demands on the athletes. Emmi says she trains on average 30 hours a week, so we were keen to send her a pair of Cloudboots to help her recover.

EBK Futsal Women

In the 2022–2023 season, EBK’s women’s futsal team will play at the top level for the first time. In Finland, futsal is a relatively unknown yet growing sport. Even though many end up playing futsal via football, the number of players focusing on futsal keeps increasing. In futsal, the pace is faster than in football and the players must constantly be ready for transitions. Although the whole body is put to work, the most strain is put on the legs and feet. It is important for the players to be able to recover effectively during the long and intense season. Particular attention must be paid to recovery in double-match weeks, of which there are several per season.

“Our team is using Cloudboots Rogue recovery pants and boots in size L. As the height of our players falls between 160 and 180 cm, this combination is perfect for us. The recommended sizes are, after all, only indicative, and despite the variation in height, our players have not had any problems using both models. The batteries of the devices

Sani is a Finnish singer, composer, lyrics writer, actor and singer in the Aikakone band. Sani still goes on music tours and also does plenty of acting. Her most recent project include Rantabaari and Farmi Suomi TV shows. She has quite a hectic schedule, with very few days off. This is why she wanted to have an easy way for physical recovery.

Liina Nuoranne, relay triathlon

Liina Nuoranne is a 17-year-old paratriathlete from Turku, a member of the Finnish Paralympic Committee’s Future Stars group, also representing Finland’s youth paralympic team in triathlon. Because of her age, she has so far only been able to take part in one international competition, because the age limit for official paratriathlon competitions is 18. However, she has gained plenty of experience in Finland in non-para categories, and already has two Finnish championships in paracycling.

Training three sports and attending a sports upper secondary would be tough enough as it is, but her hemiplegia, or paralysis affecting only one side of the body, makes things extra challenging. She has started to use Cloudboots to speed up recovery.

“I love to train a lot, both in terms of quality and quantity, but my injured side is under a lot of strain, while the healthy side has to work overtime, so I have to pay proper attention to recovery. Saska Huttunen and Pyry Hyrkkönen of Padel Tampere are key players in the national padel team. At this point, in early August 2022, we can list at least the following as their achievements:

– Reigning Finnish champions in both individual and team events

– Both ranked no. 1 in Finland
